IP Blocking
Find out more about IP blocking, why it can be so advantageous and when to employ it.
From time to time you might need to block particular third parties from accessing your sites. There are a number of automatic bots that crawl the Internet, for example, and generate fake visits and traffic. There are spammers who leave links to questionable Internet sites as comments to blog articles. This sort of things could drastically undermine your projects, because nobody likes to visit an Internet site with many hundreds of fake comments, furthermore the increased site traffic from both spammers and bots may generate high load on the web server on which your website is hosted, that can result in the site not working correctly. Among the most effective solutions in such a case is to block the IP addresses that produce the fake traffic, as a way to make sure that the visits to your website are real.
